Being from Liverpool the Grand National (horse racing event) is pretty big in the city. I remember from a really young age my Mum & Dad going with a group of their closest friends, all dressed up & making a lovely day of it. As I got older & became more aware of what the event was I noticed that even if I wasn’t going or it was the National Day itself then that’s reason enough to get together with friends & family to enjoy it. I first went when I was 17 & was so excited to finally be going to the Races, looking back I must have looked like a baby but I felt so grown up. Part of going to the Races is picking your outfit & trust me it is no easy job to do, ladies really pull out all the stops.
The world of Social Media can be a crazy place sometimes but we all love it, can you think where we would be without our daily Instagram inspiration feed, sad I know but Instagram is my favourite app! An it just shows you the power of it when through a picture I uploaded of my latest Mulberry purchase, some brogues (what can I say I have a weakness for Mulberry) I received an email from author Jo Piazza inviting me to the launch of her new book, Tech Bitch to be held at the Mulberry store, New Bond St.
I’m going to blame the number of jeans in my wardrobe down to when I had my first job at Gap when I was 16 (yes there may be 1 or 2 pairs that I still have from my time there!) But I think it was then that I realised the multiple styles available when it comes to jeans, which is great but sometimes it does feel that Denim is all I wear whether it’s Summer or Winter, to work or even at the weekend.
Accessorising any outfit can always be fun & at the moment there seems to be no better way then adding a few charms from your handbag. If you were like me & constantly scrolling through your Instagram feed during Fashion Week then you will have seen an abundance of charms swinging from the Fashion elite handbags & the more the better seemed to be the motto.
