Autumn Shades

By September 6, 2017Fashion, Featured

We are in the first week of September can you believe it? I think because my Summer has been so crazy, with living in London, training & starting a new job it feels as though I didn’t really get to experience it, it went by so quickly & already were at the end & heading into Autumn.

One of the clear signs that the seasons are changing is when you head out shopping & start seeing gradual Autumn/Winter essentials in store. Two weeks ago I had a belated birthday get together with my girlfriends, we headed out for some delicious dinner & cocktails, staying out chatting away as we do. With it being my birthday celebration, not that I need an excuse I obviously wanted something new to wear but I only had a hour to pop to the shops & whilst I wasn’t bowled over by the seasonal transition pieces I loved the colours on this dress & the fact it’s velvet, well it ticked another box.

It was a wrap around dress which isn’t a style I usually go for however I just loved the colours & I do love velvet as I just find that it can make any piece a bit more classic. So although it was a wrap around dress, I do love the bat wing sleeves & how the hen of the dress was slightly longer at the back, I felt as if the dress was moving with me as I walked.

The colour pallet is perfect for this time of year it’s not too dark, the bold burst of purple is such a great colour to wear as it still holds some warmth to it. I didn’t want to wear black shoes as I didn’t want the colours looking too dark, so when I came across these gorgeous olive colour shoes that I just love I knew they were the ideal colour to pair with the purple & with the block heel they were the perfect shoe. Gorgeous shoes Abigail, I never think to look in M&S for shoes but they are lovely. Hope you are enjoying your new cabin crew job, well done on keeping your blog going too xxx
