Beach Blue Dress

I love Portugal it’s my home away from home. My family have been coming here for 12 years & I simply love coming here for a long weekend or even a longer period. It’s the perfect place to come & unwind, away from the schedule & hustle & bustle of every day life back at home. I’m quite lucky that I have travelled quite a bit but never before have I found somewhere that is as laid back as here.

When it comes to packing your case it is very simple you honestly only need a few basic pieces & your all set. I don’t tend to buy as many clothes in the Summer simply because we have a British Summer so instead I try to but some key basic pieces that I can take on any holiday.

A couple of weeks ago I picked up some pieces that I knew would be ideal for my relaxed long weekend away but that I would also get wear out of when I go to Greece in September. One of my favourite pieces was this long blue dress, it is so simple but the ideal Summer dress. It is so soft & with it’s semi fitted top half it falls loose which is perfect in the warmer heat, trust me the weather in Portugal has been so hot in the 30’s & this dress has been perfect to put on.

I have worn it to dinner one evening with a pair of wedges & colourful silk hair tie & a wrist full of bangles it was possibly a favourite holiday night time outfit. Then Sunday morning we headed out for brunch & I threw this dress on again with a pair of sandals that I have worn with so many outfits this holiday they go with everything & my new holiday accessory, a floppy hat! This has been perfect with the very hot weather in Portugal putting it on at the beach to protect my face & hair from the sun. Teaming it with the blue dress it was the perfect go to, to complete my Summer brunch look. AA x
