Embroidered Shirt

A classic white shirt is simply that, a classic but it’s not an item of clothing I’m a big fan of or tend to really buy that often. Fortunately for me, my day job has a very laid back attitude towards office wear so the only kind of shirt I own are relaxed ones, a Ralph Lauren shirt with jeans & pumps is always an easy go to look & you can never get it wrong. But for me, there is just something about shirts so I do struggle to find one I love but I have come to learn that the trick is that it has to have some sort of detail, I recently saw one with flamingo’s on the cuff but it just added a little bit of something else to the shirt.

Last Summer embroidered shirts were big! If you recall Zara really hit hard on the trend with multiple variations of the blue & white striped shirt with embroidered flowers but good news everyone the trend is sticking around for another Summer. So if you did pick up a shirt last year then well done, you can even treat yourself to a new versions & if you didn’t then it’s not too late to jump on board.

When I came across this shirt I just knew it was for me it has my style all over it, with the grandad collar that I have always loved, the small flowers embroidered down the centre & don’t forget on the back too which is always an extra touch. But the real winner for me is the sleeves oh there just so pretty & floaty if I could insert the emoji with heart eyes then there would be a whole load of them here right now. It just adds that something else to it that makes it that bit different to your standard white shirt.

Knowing it was the perfect top for me it was now a case of deciding what else I could pair it with for the complete outfit & with a date planned for Afternoon Tea I thought this was the perfect ladylike piece to wear. This pair of trousers are the ideal fit, straight leg, sit just above the ankle & sit right on the waist (not that you can see) I just think it gives the outfit a more polished & classic look. The touches of red stripe bring out the red on the shirt so I decided to make the most of it adding one of my favourite Mulberry bag’s that is pint-size that I love how it sits on me. Along with my block heel shoes that I am pretty much living in, this heel is my favourite, you can wear all day long super comfortable & can be teamed with pretty much everything. AA x
