Floral Embroidered Dress

We are now officially in Spring & I cannot wait for the sunshine to make an appearance, last week when in London we had a small taster of what’s in store for us over the coming months & I cannot wait. It was so lovely to be able to pop out for Breakfast & only have to wear a thin knit jumper & the addition of sunglasses, no coat was required, I couldn’t have worn a bigger grin whilst we enjoyed fresh coffee & pancakes. Heading out for a walk to burn off the pancakes, we walked around London, with no plans made it was the perfect way to just explore, enjoy the sunshine & maybe wear a floral embroidered dress.

An honestly there is nowhere better than London when the sun’s out, I love the various boroughs of London from the colourful houses of Notting Hill to the British charm of Chelsea & the creativeness of Shoreditch all within walking distance of one another & they come alive when the sun hits. Deciding to make the most of the sunshine & not needing to wear a coat, we headed out a little bit earlier than planned to walk to dinner, stopping for a drink or two along the way. Luckily it wasn’t far to walk in heels otherwise, we would have definitely been jumping a black cab but it was such a lovely day it was the perfect way to make the most of it.

Packing for a weekend in London can sometimes be tricky for a few reasons, primarily the weather, I usually pack layers & a versatile coat, if the weather hadn’t been so lovely then I would have been adding my new trench coat (you can see in this post) to keep the chill away. Going out for dinner it was the perfect excuse to wear this dress that I have been in love with since I first saw it in store, how pretty it is. With embroidery still being big this season, this dress is the perfect balance of following the trend but having it on a black dress keeps it as a classic, one that you would be able to wear all year round. Perfect if you’re going to a Summer wedding & want to wear something a little bit different, then this definitely ticks all the boxes.

I decided to wear colourful accessories just to bring out some of the colours from the flowers, I definitely think it helped to make them pop! But mostly I love the way it sways, the tulle skirt made me want to twirl around in it, what can I say I’m definitely still a child at heart but who can resist in such a pretty dress. I loved wearing this to dinner in the sunshine & know it will be one of those dresses I can wear for numerous occasions. AA x
