I’m not going to lie I love Birthday’s, whether it’s my own or someone else’s. It’s everything from deciding on the gift, I’m a stationer geek so even down to the card, wrapping it up. The day itself I want to know the plans, is it a celebratory Brunch, will we do something different maybe a theme park, the Zoo or getting dressed up & heading out for cocktails & dinner, have I got carried away? Sorry, but you can get the idea now can’t you. So this year when it came to my own birthday I hadn’t really made any plans, your shocked I know. My girlfriends & I had been out the week before for a big night out & that had totally distracted me however I was the lucky girl when my boyfriend surprised me & took me away for the weekend to Bath.
Being from Liverpool the Grand National (horse racing event) is pretty big in the city. I remember from a really young age my Mum & Dad going with a group of their closest friends, all dressed up & making a lovely day of it. As I got older & became more aware of what the event was I noticed that even if I wasn’t going or it was the National Day itself then that’s reason enough to get together with friends & family to enjoy it. I first went when I was 17 & was so excited to finally be going to the Races, looking back I must have looked like a baby but I felt so grown up. Part of going to the Races is picking your outfit & trust me it is no easy job to do, ladies really pull out all the stops.
The world of Social Media can be a crazy place sometimes but we all love it, can you think where we would be without our daily Instagram inspiration feed, sad I know but Instagram is my favourite app! An it just shows you the power of it when through a picture I uploaded of my latest Mulberry purchase, some brogues (what can I say I have a weakness for Mulberry) I received an email from author Jo Piazza inviting me to the launch of her new book, Tech Bitch to be held at the Mulberry store, New Bond St.
Nothing can quite beat London in the Summer & with this glorious heatwave we are having. So with a day off I decided to make the most of it & head off to enjoy my favourite meal, brunch in the colourful & vibrant part of London, Notting Hill. AA xRead More
What could be more quintessentially British than a hearty homemade Roast Dinner on a wet & cold Sunday afternoon. Making the most of a weekend at home we headed out to Dockleaf at the heart of the Baltic Market, were we stuck into a Roast Dinner with all the trimmings. AA xRead More
Stepping off the plane back home from Marrakech we were hit by showers which wasn’t the welcome home we had been expecting but it was a clear sign that the British Summer was over & Winter was around the corner. Not that I’m complaining, I always prefer my Winter wardrobe so this was the perfect excuse to pick up some new Autumn-Winter pieces that would see me through the colder months. AA xRead More
Celebrating my 30th Birthday under the sun & on the beach of Portugal with my family was exactly what I wanted, I hadn’t really given the milestone birthday much thought but prior to the trip I had been body conscious. Maybe it was turning 30 or wearing my favourite bikini on the beach I’ve never felt more body confident! AA xRead More
