This weekend was a good weekend, just one of them when you manage to get so much done, but still feel pretty chilled about it all, it’s not rushed. I’m pretty lucky with work that my roster has given me weekends off for months now which has been amazing, but unfortunately the latter end of June I’m working 2 weekends filled with training. So I’m making the most of my weekend off & this weekend came out on top.
I had a list of small jobs to do on Friday & they all had a small tick next to them by the afternoon, when Simon surprised me coming home early (I screamed when the door burst open) with a homemade dinner & introducing Simon to The Greatest Showman – the best film ever, I don’t know if he’ll agree. Enjoying the perfect date day on Saturday we headed to Manchester to an indoor market which I loved, with various food vendors’, eating delicious boa buns, sweet potato wedges, sipping Gin & Tonic.
Sunday was set to be a real scorcher & thankfully it didn’t disappoint with temperatures hitting 25 degrees, so my best friends & I packed up a blanket our favourite food & headed to National Trust property, Speke Hall for a afternoon of catch up & sunshine. It was so warm it was lovely & this dress was perfect to wear, even if it was a last minute addition to my wardrobe after dropping make-up on white jeans! If I’m honest it reminded me of Julia Roberts when she goes to the Polo match in Pretty Woman. I don’t have many strapless dresses but this was so comfortable & the detail of it being nipped in at the waist, gave it some shape so it wasn’t completely shapeless.
I teamed it with simple accessories, that are perfect for a Summer day whether at home or even abroad on your Summer holiday. AA x
