Hello Sunshine!

Oh how glorious has it been the past week with this lovely bit of weather we have been getting in the UK & I was so glad that it held out for the weekend. I was in some serious need of vitamin C after feeling a touch poorly last week & needed to have a pick me up & what better than some glorious sunshine, everything is so much better when the sun is out. I love Summer everyone is so much more upbeat & it’s the perfect chance to add some colour to my outfits.

I usually have a touch of colour in my outfits, from my latest new tote bag which I decided to get in blue just for a change for the Spring & I have been able to team it with so many outfits. To my red block heels which I seem to be living in, pairing with everything from skinny jeans & a cami to a full midi skirt, the heel size just makes them the perfect height to walk around in all day.

Knowing that we would be having a sunny weekend my boyfriend & I planned a day out, to nowhere specific as I never know where to go but we found ourselves in Manchester & boy was it hot. As were early risers we were pretty much up & out & sometimes it’s the best as we arrived in Manchester quite early & it felt like the city was still waking up. We decided to enjoy the relative peace & quiet sitting outside in the sun with a cappuccino for him & a tea for me (with a cheeky slice of brownie on the side.)

Embracing the sunshine & not knowing our plans I picked out this very colourful midi skirt that I love. Yes, it’s colourful but dressing with colour can be fun & it definitely made me smile wearing it. I opted for a linen white top as I think it helps balance out the colour, black is sometimes a popular option against bold colours but I think with this skirt it worked against it, plus who doesn’t love a white fresh linen top in Summer. So enjoying the delicious brownie & basking in the sunshine we headed out me in my colourful skirt, that was also perfect to do a few twirls in too! AAx
