Secret Garden

Liverpool, my home town I am quite in love with the place & it seems that the city keeps getting better & better. The past year or so there are so many new bars & restaurants that have opened up that if your a big foodie person like me then every weekend you are spoilt for choice, I still haven’t managed to try all of them! But gradually I am making my way through them but I am starting to find some new favourites so when we had friends visiting Liverpool for the weekend I felt it my duty to share with them all my new finds.

A couple of weeks ago you may have seen I did a post on Finca the Cuban Street Food place located in the Botanical Gardens, well incase you weren’t already aware this is also THE perfect place to spend a warm Summer’s day so that’s were we headed to first. It is very deceiving from the outside with brick wall & graffiti but walk through the door way & you step into your own secret garden, colourful & bold with a brilliant Gin bar to go with it.

We decided to make the most of the sunshine & headed out late afternoon so deciding what to wear when your going out in the day then staying out into the evening for dinner can sometimes be pretty tricky. I had a few options in mind mainly based on the weather but with the really warm sunshine I decided to make the most of it wearing a 2 piece ensemble.

This skirt is SO me, I love it so knew I had to have it. I think it’s one of those pieces that you can wear now in Summer picking a colour to make it brighter so this cropped open back pale blue top was the ideal piece. I know I will have so much wear from this skit because it can be worn all through out Autumn/ Winter teaming it with some tights & a dark green cosy knit.

I usually avoid crop tops there just not something I go for maybe because I always tend to go for dresses than skirts so don’t need as many tops but this is just the right length without revealing too much stomach. The extra detail on the back with the cut away makes it a bit more something else. I already have this teamed with a different outfit for my holiday. It’s safe to say both pieces will be getting a lot of wear! AA x
