The Hills, It’s Back…

This week marks the 10 year anniversary of the MTV hit US show The Hills, I can’t believe it’s been 10 years that’s crazy & yes makes me feel old I loved that show. It was the show that brought us Justin Bobby, Speidi & yes that key phrase by LC (Lauren Conrad) in the peak of all the Speidi drama, “I want to forgive you, & I want to forget you.”

Oh how I wanted to be the mix between LC & Whitney (LC had too much drama for me sometimes.) So after a 10 year break this week it was announced that the show would be back for 10 year anniversary show & yes LC will be involved!

Now this show took you through everything & as a girl in her late teens/ early twenties watching it there are some lessons to be learnt for me why oh why did LC pass on the chance to go to Paris with Teen Vogue, was she crazy?! Well Refinery have pulled together ‘17 Important Life Lessons from The Hills.’

Must See

Me Before You…

Okay so if you haven’t already seen the heart wrenching film trailer or heard about the book ‘Me Before You’ that has happened to sell 5 million copies then where have you been as the release of this highly anticipated film has been everywhere & it’s finally in cinemas today!

Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he’s going to put a stop to that. What Will doesn’t know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they’re going to change the other for all time.

I had seen the book by Jojo Moyes but I couldn’t bring myself to read it, as it sounded so heart breaking. But one of my girlfriends has read it &  knowing the film was soon to be released I caved & finished reading it yesterday surrounded my half a box of tissues, a beautiful love story that makes you really want to make the most out of life. So yes I will be off to watch it with a big bag of pick ‘n’ mix & my tissues, I have warned you!

Just In

Queen Elizabeth II, Vanity Fair Cover…

I’m putting it out there, I love The Royal Family. My nan has always been a big supporter & it’s been passed down the family, celebrating William & Kate’s wedding, Price George is just the cutest, it’s all quintessentially British.

In celebration of her 90th birthday, Queen Elizabeth II posed alongside her very photogenic Pembroke Welsh corgis Holly, Willow, Vulcan and Candy for photographer Annie Leibovitz & the cover of Vanity Fair’s latest issue — a first for Britain’s longest-reigning monarch. In lieu of the magazine’s favorite outfit (a corset), Her Majesty sported a signature look: a monochromatic outfit in shades of blue and Gucci loafers.

According to Leibovitz who is the first US photographer to shoot the Queen, the photoshoot was the Queen’s idea & took place at the beautiful Windsor Castle in April, the June edition will be available on the 7th June.

I Want

When it comes to jewellery I think it’s something that is very personal. Unless it was costume jewellery & one of my friends had specifically pointed it out then I wouldn’t ever buy them jewellery as a gift. Having the right jewellery can completely change your outfit, you can take a simple dress but then team & statement necklace with it & it’s a completely different outfit.

I recently popped into Cadenzza in Liverpool One, I haven’t bought many new jewellery pieces recently so wanted to have some new pieces for Summer. I ended up spending a good while in the store as I was simply spoilt for choice, I was particularly looking for some new rings & these 3 were my favourite. I love the way some of them can be stacked or worn individually. I am so happy with my purchases & the necklace I couldn’t leave behind! AA x
