Vogue 100: A Century of Style…

If your a reader of Vogue or even keep up to date with the latest exhibitions etc then you are more than likely to have seen that Vogue 100: A Century Of Style was a recent exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. Having completed it’s residency in London the exhibition has now moved to the North West & is currently being housed in the Manchester Art Gallery.

The exhibition is the culmination of five years’ research, with the team involved having to look through every issue of British Vogue, as well as many American & French Vogues about 1,800 issues of the magazine in all. Tracking down prints has taken the Vogue 100 team around the world. With loans from Costa Rica, Singapore, France from the National Portrait Gallery in Washington and more.

Must See

Wedding Films To Watch Before Your Day…

Okay so one of my best girlfriends is getting married next August so the countdown is on! This week was particularly special because along with my other girlfriends we were asked to be her bridesmaids!! I am absolutely ecstatic to be asked & we can now start planning & I cannot wait from dress fittings to holidays & hen parties it’s going to be brilliant.

So when I seen this article on ‘Wedding Films You Must Watch Before Your Wedding Day’ it seemed quite fitting. There are so many classic wedding films, Father Of The Bride, My Best Friends Wedding, Bride Wars all with so many lessons that you learn through the journey. This list gives you a mix of everything they are not all fairy tale ending films but there is a right mix that you can watch with your other half or your bridesmaids!

Just In

Fendi’s Couture Show, Rome…

If your like me then your Instagram feed this week will have been filled with all the latest from Paris Couture Week & if there was any show I could have gone to see it would have been Fendi & it’s jaw dropping location, Trevi Fountain Rome.

Fendi had a lot to celebrate not only has it reached the milestone of its 90th  year in business, it was also able to utilize the newly restored Trevi Fountain in a first-of-its-kind runway production for the anniversary show.

The collection, entitled “Legends and Fairy Tales,” with models walking on a clear platform that gave the illusion that they were walking on water. Each look was accented with fur — from subtle trims to full-on shawls, dresses & intarsia coats. With motifs that included florals & fairy tale-like art scenes. Former Fendi face Kendall Jenner opened the show, while Paris Couture Week’s breakout star Bella Hadid closed in a majestic fur cape.

I Want

The past year or two I have started adding more trousers to my wardrobe, I do enjoy finding a great pair of jeans but I don’t feel there very ‘me’ so trousers which I find more fashion led have been creeping in. I wear them for plenty of different occasions from work where I might wear a high waisted belted skinny leg trouser or out for dinner & a wide culotte there are plenty of style to pick from that you can pick one that flatters your shape.

I am particularly loving these striped trousers from Dorothy Perkins. I think they are the perfect piece to add to your wardrobe now to wear in Summer with a simple mustard or khaki cami so you can add a splash of colour & its a simple piece. Then you can carry it through into your Autumn/ Winter wardrobe with a jumper tucked inside & a big chunky knit scarf.  AA x
