Catch Up

Mumford & Sons Johannesburg…

I have always been a fan of Mumford & Sons so for me anything they do I pretty much like yes I have my favourites but I find they have the perfect mix of easy listen & up beat powerful songs an when singing them live its an amazing show.

Last weekend when out with friends one of my girlfriends mentioned she had been listening to their new mini album Johannesburg & was loving it. I couldn’t believe I had missed it so the next day I downloaded the five -track ‘mini album’ which was created after a 2 day long session during an early 2016 South African tour.

Collaborating with South African local artists & bands there is a real richness to the songs that you can’t help but get wrapped up in. Marcus Mumford harmonises beautifully with Maal, who sings in his native Pulaar language. Incorporating traditional instruments & the range of harmonies & tones it’s a great turn in direction for the band.

Must See

Outdoor Cinema…

If there is one thing I would love to have in my home it would be a cinema room! I love going to the cinema & watching films but of course it would need to have a pick ‘n’ mix machine otherwise it wouldn’t be the same but if I loved somewhere a bit more warmer say sunny California then the cinema room would be getting put outside.

Every Summer I try to find an outdoor cinema venue that isn’t in London & it’s pretty hard trust me I have been looking but the other night I came across one not too far from me so tickets were booked pronto. Summer Nights Film has a number of different venues on their list for you to pick from so for me it’s Dunham Massey were i’ll be watching the latest Bond film Spectre. I’m hoping for warm weather, taking a basket full of goodies & a cosy blanket to get wrapped up in once the sun has gone down & I’m tucking into my sweets.

Just In

Neal’s Yard & Deliciously Ella…

If you have visited Covent Garden in London & passed the brightly coloured buildings then no doubt you will have come across Neal’s Yard as this is how I found them a few years ago. Known for their natural not synthetic beauty & skin care products next week they will be launching a new range with chef, lifestyle & wellness blogger Deliciously Ella.

If your now aware of Ella well let me tell you she is basically the epitome of living the healthiest & happiest life possible through her plant based recipes & positive lifestyle choice so it seemed like the perfect duo to team together on this collaboration.

The collection is available from the 4th August & you will be able to pick up Rose, Lime & Cucumber Facial Wash (£16) as well as a moisturiser to go along side this. Both products have been created with all natural products including organic rose & lime essential oils it already sounds like it will smell amazing!

I Want

I know where still in July but if your like me & really fed up of seeing Sale items in the shops (it feels like the sales have been on forever) then you will be glad to start seeing transition collections making their way into the shops. This is your chance to start seeing some of the trends that will be in for Autumn/ Winter & pick up some great pieces. It may seem early but come October when your looking for Winter boots the best selection will be gone.

If you seen my latest outfit post here then you will see that floral & embroidered floral patterns are making their way into A/W so these boots from Miss Selfridge are on the money with this gorgeous pair. The chunky heel I always things make boots ideal for day & night wear. Teamed with an A-line skirt & shirt or even with a pair of skinny jeans for a laid back daytime outfit. Paired with a long black lace dress I think would be a beautiful look against the delicate embroidery. AA x
