Catch Up

Halloween Costume Ideas…

This week my Instagram feed is slowly but surely filling up with make up videos & pictures of makeup ideas for Halloween. It seems that the past few years Halloween has been getting bigger & bigger an this year I would love to go to a Halloween party but as I’m at a friend’s party which isn’t Halloween themed. But for those of you who are going to one then here’s a few costume ideas that aren’t your typical scary, witch or vampire.

There are now so many different options for you dress up as for Halloween, it’s a really chance to experiment especially with your make-up draw using colours that you wouldn’t usually pick up. But this week I came across this post & it was a completely different side to what you may usually go for, for your party outfit.

I particularly love the Beatlemania idea being a Liverpool girl myself & the best part is that all these outfits you can wear with your girlfriends!

Must See

7 Gripping Documentaries on Netflix Now…

As I mentioned this weekend is going to be dedicated to relaxing & part of my relax plan is a Saturday night spent watching one of the Netflix’s new series ‘Designated Survivor.’ With the dark nights coming along this is the time when it seems that all the TV stations are pulling out the stops with all the new documentaries, series that are hitting our screens.

Netflix is known for it’s wide range of documentaries & there are some that I have watched myself & absolutely loved, really opened my eyes to worlds that I was completely blond too before hand as well as being knowledgeable. One that I will always love watching is ‘Dior & I’ opening the doors to a iconic fashion house it was gripping to see if the ideas would become reality in time for the catwalk. Or ‘Blackfish’ where we got to learn about the cruelty that goes on at the popular children’s theme park Seaworld.

So here are 7 documentaries that will keep you gripped.

Just In

Balenciaga V&A Exhibition…

REVISITING BALENCIAGA: The Victoria & Albert Museum has revealed plans to stage “Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion,” an exhibition that will pay homage to the work of Cristóbal Balenciaga.

This will be the first exhibit on the couturier’s work in the U.K., and is planned to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the first Cristóbal Balenciaga store opening in San Sebastián, Spain and also with the 80th anniversary of his famous Paris salon.

The show will examine the ways the late designer’s innovative use of fabrics and craftsmanship influenced haute couture in the 20th century by focusing on the work he produced during the Fifties and Sixties, which the exhibition’s curator Cassie Davies-Strodder highlights as the couturier’s most creative period.

I Want

In My Wardrobe…

& Other Stories is a shop that in my eyes can do no wrong, they have the perfect mix of classic pieces with items that are so on trend or simply have a flair. Over the past few years I have been adding items to my wardrobe & am always keeping  a look out for anything new I can add so once I seen this dress I knew it had to make it’s way into my wardrobe.

If you seen this week’s outfit post ‘Blue Stars In Madrid’ then you will know that I am loving the cosmic flair that is happening this season. This dress is my style, the long length I love in Autumn/Winter its the ideal length for the colder months & easy to wear day or night. I would love to team this dress with ankle boots or a heel with a leather jacket. AA x
