Instagram’s New Slideshow Feature…
If you’ve ever struggled to choose just one photo for an Instagram post—perhaps your holiday photos are best observed in sequence, or your selfie-game was just too strong that day—then Instagram has some good news for you.
Overnight, Instagram introduced a new function which allows you to post multiple photos or videos in one post. This ‘gallery’ or ‘slideshow’ feature rolled out on the 22nd, so you’ll be able to get your multi-photo posting on ASAP.
In order to keep up with its social media rivals, Instagram keeps upping its game & introducing new features & the slideshow feature is no disappointment. It essentially will bring back all the feels by letting you make old school albums out of your pictures. The function allows you to post up to 10 photos, Boomerangs or videos within a single post, with one caption &location, which you can then tap & flip through, allowing you to avoid cluttering your feed or grid with one subject or event.
Paris Fashion Week is just a few weeks away, where Maria Grazia Chiuri will showcase her second ready-to-wear collection for Dior. But while only the fashion elite have access to the exclusive Dior shows each season in Paris, a new two-part documentary, Inside Dior, is now available on All 4, which offers a rare insight into the luxury French fashion house on its 70th birthday.
Now I LOVED the previous Dior documentary, Dior & I it was beautiful to see the detail & passion that goes on, so to celebrate the houses landmark anniversary, Inside Dior goes behind the scenes of the billion-pound brand. Episode one centres around two spectacular Dior events – the Cruise show that took place at Blenheim Palace last June & the couture show in Paris. We are privy to the building tension as Dior seamstresses race to finish every garment, & meet the models as well as the international clients who spend thousands each year on Dior couture.
Best Oscars Dresses In Past Decade…
I can’t believe the Oscar’s are here already! It seems as those February has absolutely flown by & now it is here, that night of glitz & glam were the royalty of the big screen dust of the cobwebs & put on their very best, all filed & polished for a night to celebrate the best of the best in movie making. As much as I love to know who won the big titles, Best Film, Best Actor/ Actress the red carpet gets the majority of attention.
My best friend & I are always chatting the morning after discussing who we loved & who disappointed, what we would have worn or how we would have done something differently.
Gwyneth Paltrow has one of those closets we’d like to steal, full of understated yet stylish basics & some of the best red carpet dresses ever (yes, ever). But even Gwynnie can admit when she’s made a fashion mistake. In the latest instalment of Goop, the 40-year-old actress highlights her best Oscar red-carpet moments… & her worst. Gwyneth cites her white Tom Ford ensemble (the one with the cape!) at the 2012 Oscars & her pink Prada dress from the 2011 Venice Film Festival as two of her best fashion statements. Oh how I loved the Tom Ford cape it was classic & sleek, definitely one of my favourites.
In My Wardrobe…
Last weekend I had a quick 10 minutes to run around Zara & I haven’t been in the store for what seemed forever. Stores when there in sale look like a jumble sale so I tend to stay clear until previews of the new collection start making an appearance. An as always seems to be the case whenever you have limited time you want to look at everything but I did stop when I came across these shoes, they are simply to die for & I Want them, desperately. They are just the ultimate Spring/ Summer shoe to have in your wardrobe & I have no doubt they will be flying off the shelves.
There were so many outfits I was pulling together in my head when I saw them, from a weekend look of jeans, a crisp shirt & jumper combo, add a slouchy tote & your set to go for a lunch date. You can team them with endless dresses from maxi to Aline skirts with a cami or oversized jumper, jumpsuits with ¾ leg to help give the shoes the full attention that they deserve. There are endless possibilities & don’t be scared of teaming them with a colourful outfit sometimes teaming a bold statement with a block colour outfit isn’t always the right direction. AA x
