Writing this post I feel that I have to acknowledge that I haven’t posted in a good couple of weeks & honestly there was no big reason why other than life was a little crazy & became a juggling act. Leading up to Christmas there was so much on from my best friends wedding, planning for Christmas as I was away in Miami so had to have everything wrapped & packed early, to still settling into our new home. In the New Year it was lovely to have nothing looming to know I had time to just sit back & relax. From not forcing myself to get up & go to the early morning class, spending days simply at home on the hunt for artwork for our living room walls.
An whilst doing all of this it’s not that I wasn’t thinking about blogging it just didn’t seem a priority to get done right away. I’m always thinking about it & what else I should post next & to be honest I was having some thoughts about what direction to take the blog in, with my new job & the travelling I definitely wanted to share more of it & that’s my plan. So now I’m ready with some posts that are complete & ready for you to read & hopefully enjoy.
An with this being officially my first post of the New Year, I knew I had to share with you one of my current favourite outfits. It’s crazy that really since starting my new job I have honestly not bought many clothes – trust me I am being honest & I thought I would have done. But it seems that on my days home I head to the gym to catch up on classes so 90% of the time I’m in my gym clothes. Plus I really try not to wear any make-up when I’m off, I definitely am conscious of giving my skin some extra care from all the flying which dries it out.
So when I had a weekend consisting of a Baby Shower with my besties & a very special family birthday dinner well it seemed the perfect excuse to head on out for some retail therapy & see what was new in stores. I picked up these red Topshop boots before Christmas from my Personal Shopper Appointment & have only worn them a few times so loved that I got to team them with this outfit, the trousers are the perfect length to go with them.
I think for me I love the top, it’s so simple & my boyfriend actually picked it out, yes he had a good eye for this look, it’s perfect to team with jeans or even for me pack in my case with shorts as its so light. An to finish it off well I couldn’t resist the beret, I love trying hats on when shopping but then never wear them but this one I knew I would. Maybe it’s because my boyfriend & I are talking about going back to Paris for my Birthday weekend so it’s been on the brain but I like to think it just adds the finish touch to the outfit, ready to head out in for the weekend.
